Marvelous Maple Pecan Appetizer
I am nutty for nuts. And particularly for Pecans. Not only are they good for you, but their versatility is truly inspiring. Think of how many recipes call for the said nougats of nutrition! But, what I really love is how good each kind of nut tastes. Each kind has their own distinct flavor.
Here’s a wonderful, tasty recipe for a nutty appetizer that you can set out in a cute appetizer bowl for the next time you have guests over. They will disappear like magic. This simple recipe makes 3 1/3 cups.
What you need for the Maple Pecan Appetizer:
- 1/2 stick of unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup of maple syrup
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
- 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 3 1/3 cups of pecan halves
What to do:
Melt the butter, syrup, salt and cayenne pepper in a pan over a low heat.
Add the pecans and stir to mix all the ingredients. Leave the mixture on the heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
Spread the spicy pecan mixture on a silicon baking mat, parchment paper, or piece of foil to cool.
Arrange the sticky pecans in bowls to serve.

This recipe looks easy and delicious! I like having appetizers even for casual dinner with friends but I always find them to be time consuming and leave me running around like a crazy woman trying to get everything together. This sounds like a great solution. I can still serve appetizers but without the hassle. Good Appetizer Recipes are like gold and I can’t wait to try this one out. I work with Better Recipes so I am surrounded by recipes all of the time but my most favorite have to be the simple one that don’t require a lot of work but are delicious.
I think I know what I am making the next time I have unexpected company over – sounds so easy and delicious!
Thanks for the idea.
