You can also substitute for the cream cheese by using the fat-free version OR use Light Laughing Cow cheese. Just unwrap 16 little Laughing Cow cheeses and use it in place of the cream cheese.thanks for sharing this wonderful idea of having bfast.

I LOVE blue cheese, and LOVE bacon. I don’t know why I’ve never thought of putting the two together. You know what I’m doing this weekend!

I love the use of the herbs, cream cheese and of course bacon. This would be a perfect alternative to the traditional chips and dip at a party.

I first read your Bleu Cheese dip and I thought THAT sounded good, and then I saw this and I nearly passed out. Bacon+BC= heaven.

Sarah…great recipe…especially adding walnuts to make it more nutritional ;o).
Yes, I do love blue cheese…however, I am extremely selective about the one I use in my recipes. I find it can either enhance or ruin what I make. Thankfully, Hubby is in the Cheese business and I am sometimes blessed with some great samplings ;o)
Ciao for now and flavourful wishes,
Claudia

I’m in the LOVE blue cheese category and am excited to try this. Not a huge bacon fan, but I’ll bet it add a needed depth and flavor to the dip. This is most definitely a must try! And that photo is absolutely perfect! Like a magazine!

Hi Kim, thanks for the comment. Just wanted to clarify one thing. I WISH I was a photographer… I cannot claim to be. I pick photos off the web that show the recipe I’ve posted in the best possible way and then give credit at the end of the post for the photo I’ve borrowed. It’s one of my goals to take a photography class and start taking pictures of my food – but right now, I don’t have enough hours in the day. I always love what you do on your blog, your photos are so beautiful. It’s something to strive for. Thanks again for stopping by.
I am on the fence when it comes to blue cheese. I like blue cheese dressing but if you give me a hunk of the real deal I will more than likely spit it out. With that being said though I like blue cheese in figs and incorporated into dishes and I think that I would really enjoy this dip. I love the use of the herbs, cream cheese and of course bacon. This would be a perfect alternative to the traditional chips and dip at a party.

Thanks for the comment, Kristin. I think one of the things that is so good about the cheese of blue is that it’s sharpness blends so well with different flavors, like figs and bacon! Hopefully, this recipe will get you off the fence!
Have a great rest of the day.
